In the early 2000s, Finnish publisher Punainen jättiläinen brought Yukito Kishiro's seminal cyberpunk saga Gunnm to a new audience with this nine-issue series. Collecting the first story arc of the original Japanese manga, it follows the amnesiac cyborg Gally as she navigates the brutal, post-apocalyptic Scrapyard beneath the floating city of Zalem. This edition is notable for introducing the series to Finnish readers, presenting Kishiro's kinetic art and philosophical exploration of identity and humanity in a compact, accessible format.
