Gunsmoke

Based on the long-running radio and television Western, Gunsmoke ran for 34 issues from 1958 to 1963 under Magazine Management. The series translated the dusty, morally complex adventures of Marshal Matt Dillon and the citizens of Dodge City into comic form, with Paul S. Newman as its most frequent writer and Jim McLaughlin providing much of the art. It stands as a solid, straightforward comics adaptation of a beloved American franchise from the medium's Silver Age.
