Gutter Magic

Gutter Magic (2016–present) is a short-lived but ambitious IDW series that blends urban fantasy with gritty noir. Created by writer Rich Douek and artist Brett Barkley, the debut issue introduces a world where magic is a literal source of power, controlled by a privileged elite, while a former soldier with a unique ability to see through the illusion must navigate a city of secrets and sorcery. Though only one issue has been published, its inventive premise and sharp world-building have earned it a cult following among fans of dark, character-driven fantasy.
