Habemus bastard

In this sharp political thriller from Dargaud Benelux, launched in 2024, writer Jacky Schwartzmann and co-writer Lies Lavrijsen team with artist Sylvain Vallée to skewer the machinery of power. The series follows a cynical, behind-the-scenes look at the dirty deals and ruthless ambition that fuel a presidential campaign, with Vallée’s expressive linework bringing a gritty, human edge to the satire. Though only two issues in, Habemus bastard has already established itself as a taut, darkly comic commentary on modern politics.
