Happy Ned

A darkly comic eight-issue series from the mid-1980s, Happy Ned was the singular, self-published creation of Canadian cartoonist Colin Upton. The series follows its downtrodden, perpetually unlucky title character through a bleakly humorous urban landscape, blending absurdist gags with a raw, underground sensibility.
