About the series
In the early 1990s, Valiant Comics launched Harbinger, a foundational superhero series that followed a group of super-powered "harbingers" discovered by the enigmatic Toyo Harada. Running for 42 issues, the title was shaped by a core team including writers Jim Shooter, David Lapham, and Maurice Fontenot, with Lapham also delivering much of the artwork alongside Howard Simpson and Sean Chen.
