About the series
In 2016, Marvel brought back a classic creative team for a two-issue reunion: writer Kurt Busiek and artist Mark Bagley returned to the Thunderbolts, this time teaming the reformed villains with Clint Barton’s Hawkeye. This short series reconnected with the team’s original premise, exploring what happens when a master archer and a squad of ex-criminals trying to be heroes are thrown together. It’s a compact, character-focused story that longtime fans of Busiek’s original Thunderbolts run will appreciate as a brief but welcome encore.
