Hicksville, launched in 2015 by Casterman, is a single-issue comic that explores the strange, insular world of a small New Zealand town obsessed with comic books. Created by Dylan Horrocks, it is a metafictional meditation on the nature of comics, fandom, and artistic legacy, weaving together the story of a journalist investigating the town's mysterious past with the hidden history of a legendary, unpublished comic strip.
