Hilly Rose

Over nine issues from 1995 to 1997, Astro Comics published Hilly Rose, a creator-owned series written and drawn entirely by B. C. Boyer. The book follows the adventures of its title character, a young woman navigating a strange and whimsical world, blending slice-of-life moments with surreal fantasy. Boyer’s distinctive, expressive art and offbeat storytelling gave the series a singular voice in the mid-90s indie comics landscape. Though short-lived, Hilly Rose remains a fondly remembered showcase of Boyer’s unique vision.
