Hokuto no Ken - Fist of the North Star

In the early 2010s, French publisher Kazé released a 15-issue European reprint of the legendary Japanese manga Hokuto no Ken under the title Fist of the North Star. This edition brought Buronson and Tetsuo Hara's iconic post-apocalyptic martial arts saga—originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in the 1980s—to a new Francophone readership, preserving the raw, muscular art and the stoic heroism of Kenshiro. While not a new story, this collected series stands as a key moment in the manga's international dissemination, offering a complete, accessible format for one of the most influential action manga ever created.
