About the series
From 1973 onward, Logos International published Holy Ghost Zapped Comix, a four-issue series that brought a distinctive Christian perspective to the underground comix movement of the era. Blending counterculture art with religious themes, the series is most associated with its creator, the cartoonist and minister Bill "Gospel Bill" E. P. Smith. It stands as an early, earnest attempt to use the vibrant, rebellious language of comix for evangelical storytelling, offering a unique artifact of 1970s Christian pop culture.
