Huckleberry Hound

From 1961 to 1962, Peveril Books published three issues of Huckleberry Hound, a comic adaptation of the beloved Hanna-Barbera animated series. Writer Vic Lockman and artist Harvey Eisenberg brought the mild-mannered, blue-furred hound to the printed page, capturing his folksy charm and gentle misadventures. Though brief, this series is a charming snapshot of early 1960s licensed comics, preserving the wholesome humor that made Huckleberry a television staple.
