From 1978 to 1981, Marvel’s Hulk series gave Bruce Banner and his green-skinned alter ego a solo showcase across 18 issues, blending monster mayhem with street-level heroics. The title is best remembered for the creative firepower of writers Doug Moench and Jim Shooter, alongside the distinctive pencils of Bill Sienkiewicz, Ron Wilson, and Gene Colan. This run also marked early, formative appearances by Moon Knight and his supporting cast—Marlene Alraune, Frenchie, and Steven Grant—before the vigilante earned his own series.
