Humo

A short-lived but visually striking French comic series, Humo ran for 16 issues from 1953 to 1955 under Éditions Pierre Mouchot. Its primary claim to fame is as the debut vehicle for the artist Jean-Claude Forest, whose inventive linework and surreal, atmospheric storytelling—then in its infancy—gave the title a distinctive, forward-looking sensibility.
