Huuli

Huuli, a Finnish comic series published by Tampress Oy from 1976 onward, spanned just three issues but brought together a distinctive American underground comix sensibility. The series is most closely associated with the work of Denis Kitchen, Peter Poplaski, and Skip Williamson, whose contributions gave the book its raw, satirical edge. As a brief but notable entry in Finnish comics, Huuli captured the transatlantic energy of the 1970s counterculture scene.
