Il Est Minuit... l'Heure des Sorcières

Between 1978 and 1982, the French publisher Arédit-Artima released 16 issues of Il Est Minuit... l'Heure des Sorcières, a horror-comics anthology that repackaged American tales of the macabre for a European audience. The series drew heavily on the work of writers Carl Wessler, John Albano, and George Kashdan, with moody, often gothic art from Ruben Yandoc, Ernesto Patricio, and Gil Kane. It stands as a significant artifact of the era's transatlantic comics trade, bringing the chills of US horror to French readers.
