About the series
In the 2013–2014 Marvel series Indestructible Hulk, Mark Waid reimagines Bruce Banner as a man who finally stops running and starts working—for S.H.I.E.L.D. With a team of top-tier artists including Leinil Francis Yu, Mahmud Asrar, and Mukesh Singh, the book presents a Hulk who is less a curse and more a weapon: Banner builds inventions for the agency by day, and by night unleashes the Hulk on threats too dangerous for anyone else. This short, four-issue run matters for its bold, pragmatic take on the character, stripping away the pathos in favor of a purposeful, action-driven dynamic that reframes the Hulk as an asset rather than a liability.
