Iznogood

The French comic Iznogoud, originally created by René Goscinny and Jean Tabary, was collected and reissued in a 1998–2003 series by Hjemmet/Egmont. This seven-issue run gathers the classic satirical adventures of the Grand Vizier Iznogoud, whose relentless ambition to become caliph in place of the good-natured Caliph Haroun el Poussah drives the humor. Goscinny's sharp, comedic writing and Tabary's expressive artwork define the series, which remains a beloved staple of European bande dessinée for its timeless, lighthearted take on political scheming.
