Iznogoud

In 2008, Cinebook began publishing an English-language edition of Iznogoud, the classic French comic series originally created by René Goscinny and Jean Tabary. The series follows the hapless Grand Vizier Iznogoud, whose single-minded obsession is to become Caliph instead of the Caliph—a goal he pursues through increasingly absurd and failed schemes. Running for 14 issues, this translation brought the beloved satirical tales of medieval Arabian political farce to a new audience, showcasing Tabary's distinctive art and Goscinny's signature wit.
