Iznogoud

Iznogoud, a long-running French comic series published in India by Euro Books India since 2009, follows the scheming Grand Vizier of the Arabian Nights-inspired kingdom of Baghdad. The titular character's sole ambition is to become caliph in place of the good-natured but oblivious Caliph Haroun al Plassid, a goal he pursues through increasingly elaborate and doomed plots. Created by writer René Goscinny and artist Jean Tabary, this satirical series lampoons political ambition and bureaucracy with a timeless, slapstick sensibility.
