About the series
In the early 2000s, Polish publisher Egmont Polska brought a new life to the classic French series Iznogud with a six-issue run. This satirical comic, originally co-created by René Goscinny and Jean Tabary, follows the bumbling and endlessly ambitious Grand Vizier as he schemes to overthrow the Caliph of Baghdad. The Polish edition, scripted by Marek Puszczewicz alongside Goscinny and drawn by Jean Tabary and his studio, preserves the sharp humor and iconic artwork that made the series a beloved staple of European comics. It matters as a key reissue that introduced a new generation to one of the funniest and most enduring comic villains of all time.
