About the series
From 1995 to 1997, Verotik published Jaguar God, a dark fantasy series driven by the creative vision of writer Glenn Danzig. The book follows the titular Jaguar God and the mythic figures Ba'al, X'alpen, and Ye-Cha through a violent, supernatural world. With a rotating team of artists including Mitch Byrd, Liam Sharp, and Frank Teran, the series stands as a key artifact of ’90s comics’ fascination with grim, occult-infused storytelling. Its eight-issue run remains a cult touchstone for fans of Danzig’s distinctive, brooding aesthetic.
