About the series
Published by City Magazines and later Century 21 Publications, the Joe 90 Annual ran for just two issues in 1968 and 1969, adapting the TV series into comic-strip adventures. It followed the young boy who, through the Brain Impulse Transfer System, could become a top-secret agent by borrowing the knowledge of expert operatives. While short-lived, the annuals captured the unique blend of child-centered wish-fulfillment and Cold War espionage that defined Gerry Anderson’s Supermarionation output.
