From 2006 to 2007, Story Studios published Johnny Saturn, a gritty 10-issue series written by Benita Story and Scott Story, with Scott Story providing the artwork. The comic follows a down-on-his-luck ex-superhero who now works as a bail bondsman, navigating a world where superpowers are a fading memory and the line between heroism and survival is razor-thin. Its grounded, character-driven take on the superhero genre, paired with a distinct independent-publisher feel, made it a notable cult favorite of the mid-2000s.
