Jonah Hex
Semic · 1985–1986 · 25 issues
About the series
In the mid-1980s, Semic brought the scarred, taciturn bounty hunter Jonah Hex to a new audience with this 25-issue series, picking up his adventures after his original run at DC. Written primarily by Michael Fleisher, Bob Rozakis, and Henry Boltinoff, with art from Dick Ayers, Vicente Alcázar, and E. R. Cruz, the title continued Hex's grim, morally ambiguous wanderings through a harsh, supernatural-tinged Old West. It stands as a key chapter for the character, bridging his classic era with the darker storytelling trends of the decade.
