Jump Start

From 1997 onward, Andrews McMeel published Jump Start, a single-issue comic strip series that follows the lives of an African American couple, Joe and Marcy Cobb, as they navigate marriage, family, and careers. Created by cartoonist Robb Armstrong, the strip is celebrated for its warm, relatable humor and its pioneering portrayal of a middle-class Black family in mainstream syndication.
