Jungle Jim
Pines · 1949–1950 · 5 issues
About the series
Paul Norris, the artist who co-created Aquaman, brought his signature adventure style to this short-lived Pines Comics series. Jungle Jim ran for five issues from 1949 to 1950, chronicling the jungle exploits of a rugged white hunter in exotic, untamed locales. Norris handled both writing and art duties, delivering a straightforward, action-packed comic that fit neatly into the post-war vogue for jungle-themed adventure strips. Though brief, the series stands as a clean example of Norris's dynamic storytelling and a forgotten corner of the genre's golden age.
