JungleTown Comics

Bell Features' JungleTown Comics (1951–present) is a short-lived but visually striking series from the Canadian Golden Age, most associated with the lush, dynamic artwork of Matt Baker across all three issues. Set in a jungle-themed urban environment, the series blends adventure and exoticism with the polished, figure-focused style that made Baker a standout talent of the era. Though it ran for only three issues, it remains a notable artifact of Bell Features' post-war output and a showcase for one of comics' pioneering African American artists.
