About the series
During the mid-1970s, French publisher Arédit-Artima collected Jack Kirby’s post-apocalyptic adventures of the last boy on Earth into a ten-issue series, blending his original vision with later stories by Denny O'Neil and Don Segall. Artists like Buddy Gernale and Mort Meskin joined Kirby in illustrating a world where talking animals rule and humanity struggles to survive. This European edition of Kamandi offers a unique window into how Kirby’s imaginative, dangerous future was packaged for a non-English-speaking audience.
