About the series
A lighthearted Dutch comic series from Skarabee, Koning Hollewijn began in 1973 and follows the whimsical adventures of its titular character. The series is most closely associated with writer Lo Hartog van Banda and the legendary Marten Toonder, who both wrote and illustrated its six-issue run. This collaboration brings Toonder's distinctive, warmly detailed art style to a playful, self-contained fantasy world.
