Kruttrøyk

A gritty, painted Norwegian crime comic from the late 1960s and early 1970s, Kruttrøyk (1969–1972) ran for 16 issues from Romanforlaget, blending photo and painted covers with the hard-boiled storytelling of writer-artist Harry Bishop. The series carved a distinctive noir niche in Scandinavian comics, its moody visuals and terse narratives capturing a dark, cinematic edge that set it apart from its more whimsical contemporaries.
