Kull the Destroyer

In a striking Australian reprint series, Kull the Destroyer (1970–1980, Yaffa/Page) collected seven issues of Robert E. Howard’s brooding barbarian king, drawn from Marvel’s color comics of the era. The series is most associated with the gritty, expressive pencils of Marie Severin and Gil Kane, and the scripts of Gerry Conway and John Jakes, who brought Kull’s ancient, mythic world to vivid life.
