L'Armée de l'ombre

Olivier Speltens wrote and illustrated this four-issue series for Editions Paquet, a French publisher, running from 2012 to 2016. Set during World War II, it follows the covert operations of the French Resistance, focusing on the perilous lives of those who fought from the shadows. Speltens’ detailed, grounded artwork brings a gritty realism to this lesser-seen perspective on the conflict.
