About the series
Lôdo (1982–1989) was a singular, decade-spanning Brazilian comic series from the independent publisher Pro-C, written and drawn entirely by the visionary artist Marcatti. Over its ten-issue run, the series established a distinctive voice in underground comics, blending surreal, often grotesque imagery with a raw, punk-inspired sensibility. Marcatti's dense, chaotic linework and unflinching narratives made Lôdo a cult landmark, capturing the restless energy of São Paulo's alternative scene in the 1980s.
