About the series
Latigo (1991–1994) was a three-issue Western series from Cottonwood Graphics, a small press publisher. Associated with writer/artist Brian Buniak, the comic followed a lone rider through the dusty, moral gray zones of the frontier. Its lean, self-contained story and gritty, expressive art made it a memorable entry in the early-90s independent comics boom, showing that the Western genre still had new ground to explore.
