Laugh It Off!

Marvel’s Laugh It Off! (1960–1961) was a short-lived, seven-issue humor comic that leaned heavily on the distinctive, grotesquely detailed cartooning of Basil Wolverton. Known for his wildly exaggerated features and absurd, slapstick scenarios, Wolverton was the series’ most frequent artist, bringing a uniquely manic energy to each page. Though it only ran for a year, the series stands as a prime example of Marvel’s pre-superhero era, when the publisher experimented with offbeat comedy titles.
