Lefranc

Over the course of ten issues published by Carlsen from 1980 to 1987, Lefranc follows the adventures of its titular journalist protagonist, a creation of Jacques Martin, who both wrote and drew for the series alongside artists such as Gilles Chaillet and Bob de Moor. The series matters as a continuation of Martin's classic European adventure style, blending historical and technological intrigue with the clean ligne claire aesthetic. With contributions from Danish writers Ole Steen Hansen and Ann Charlotte Michaelsen, it also reflects a collaborative, international dimension in its later issues.
