About the series
Peyo and Gos chronicled the miniature blue "Schtroumpfs" across thirteen whimsical albums for Dupuis from 1963 to 1988, establishing the enduring fantasy-comedy franchise. With Peyo's distinctive art and Gos's collaborative scripts, these Belgian comics introduced a self-contained village of tiny, mushroom-dwelling creatures whose adventures blended gentle satire with slapstick. Marc Wasterlain also contributed artwork, helping to expand the series' charming, pastoral world. The series remains a cornerstone of European comics, beloved for its inventive language and timeless, good-natured humor.
