About the series
In the early 1960s, Danish publisher Interpresse brought the beloved American comic strip Little Lulu to a new audience with Lille Lulu og Basse, a nine-issue series running from 1962 to 1963. Featuring the mischievous Lulu Moppet and her friend Tubby Tompkins (here renamed Basse), these comics capture the timeless, lighthearted neighborhood adventures that made the characters a staple of mid-century humor. While the series is brief, it represents an important early chapter in Interpresse's efforts to introduce classic international comic strips to Danish readers.
