In Sweden, the 1970s and 80s saw the publication of Linda och Valentins äventyr, a twelve-issue comic series from Carlsen/if that collected the intergalactic exploits of the intrepid reporter Linda and her partner Valentin. Scripted primarily by Pierre Christin and translated by Roland Adlerberth, with art by the legendary Jean-Claude Mézières, these stories brought a European sci-fi sensibility to Swedish readers, blending political intrigue with sweeping space opera.
