About the series
In the 1970s, Italian publisher Edifumetto unleashed Lo Scheletro, a horror anthology series that ran for 87 issues, blending gothic terror with erotic pulp. The series is most visually defined by the lush painted covers of Fernando Carcupino and the interior work of Gianni Renna, which gave its macabre tales a distinctive, glamorously grim atmosphere. A cornerstone of the Italian fumetti neri tradition, Lo Scheletro remains a cult favorite for its unapologetically lurid fusion of horror and adult themes.
