At Boom! Studios from 2015 to 2021, Lumberjanes ran for 20 issues, bringing a joyful, offbeat energy to comics. Co-created by Noelle Stevenson, Shannon Watters, and Grace Ellis, with art from Kat Leyh, Stevenson, and Brooke Allen, the series follows a group of campers at Miss Qiunzella Thiskwin Penniquiqul Thistle Crumpet’s Camp for Hardcore Lady Types as they face supernatural creatures and friendship-fueled adventures. Its inclusive, high-spirited tone and focus on diverse, capable young heroines made it a standout modern classic.
