About the series
In the late 1970s, French publisher Semic launched this short-lived but striking three-issue series, Mac Coy, a taut Western saga written by Jean-Pierre Gourmelen and illustrated by the celebrated Spanish artist Antonio Hernández Palacios. Known for his meticulous, historically grounded artwork, Palacios brought a gritty authenticity to the story of a lone wanderer navigating the harsh landscapes and moral complexities of the American frontier. Though brief, the series stands as a vivid showcase of Palacios's powerful visual storytelling, making it a notable entry for fans of European graphic novels and Western comics.
