About the series
In 1992 and 1993, Viz Media brought the next chapter of the beloved space-opera saga to American comics with Macross II, a ten-issue series that adapted the anime OVA of the same name. Scripted primarily by James D. Hudnall and Matt Thorn from Sukehiro Tomita’s original story, with art by Tsuguo Okazaki and Wayne Truman, the series follows a new generation of pilots and reporters caught in a renewed conflict between Earth and the mysterious, giant-clad Zentradi.
