About the series
John Arcudi and Doug Mahnke teamed up for this 15-issue DC series from the late 1990s, a comedic superhero romp with a slacker twist. The story follows a lazy, underachieving young man who suddenly gains superpowers—much to his own annoyance—and would rather nap than save the world. Its irreverent humor and Mahnke's expressive, larger-than-life art gave the book a cult energy that still feels fresh.
