Major Grubert

Over three issues from 1989 to 1996, Carlsen published Major Grubert, a short but visually striking series anchored by the singular vision of Moebius, who both wrote and illustrated the book alongside co-writer Ole Steen Hansen. The series follows its titular character, a recurring figure in Moebius’s work, through a dreamlike, sci-fi-tinged narrative that showcases the artist’s signature linework and surreal imagination.
