About the series
A beloved French comic series from the late 1980s through the mid-1990s, Marsupilami (published by Semic) spun off the famously long-tailed, black-and-yellow creature from the pages of André Franquin's Spirou et Fantasio. Across its 11-issue run, the series followed the playful, jungle-dwelling marsupial and his family in their Palombian adventures, capturing the whimsical, slapstick energy of Franquin's original creation. While Franquin himself was not directly involved in this Semic iteration, the series kept the character's joyful, mischievous spirit alive for a new generation of readers.
