From 1990 to 1999, Delcourt published the seven-issue Martha Washington series, a dystopian science-fiction saga co-created by writer Frank Miller and artist Dave Gibbons. The story follows its resilient title character through a grim, hyper-militarized future America, blending Miller's signature noir grit with Gibbons' clean, expressive linework.
