Marvel Klassik

In the late 1990s, Panini Deutschland launched Marvel Klassik, a 13-issue series reprinting foundational Marvel stories for a German audience. Curated by editor Michael Strittmatter, the series drew on the classic work of Stan Lee and Roy Thomas, paired with the iconic art of Jack Kirby, Don Heck, and Wally Wood. Featuring early adventures of Thor Odinsohn and the original X-Men team—Cyclops, Beast, Bobby Drake, Angel, and Professor Charles Xavier—it served as a vital gateway to Marvel's Silver Age for European readers.
