About the series
Art Spiegelman’s landmark Holocaust narrative, Maus, was adapted into Dutch by Jessica Durlacher and published by Oog & Blik from 1994 onward. This two-issue series presents Spiegelman’s Pulitzer Prize-winning graphic novel, which famously depicts Jews as mice and Nazis as cats, in a Dutch-language edition. A powerful, deeply personal account of survival and memory, it remains a seminal work in the comics medium for its unflinching exploration of history and trauma.
